Manufacturer: Pulse-Eight
SKU: P8-HDBT3-L-FFMG48-KIT

The neo:4x is a 4x4 HDMI®/HDBaseT3 video matrix and the perfect product for routing multiple 4K UHD source devices to multiple rooms. With 18Gbps bandwidth and support for HDCP 2.3, it delivers full 4K/60 4:4:4 8-bit or 4K/60 4:2:2 10-bit with no compression, so every screen receives the picture exactly as the source sent it.

Featuring 4 HDMI® inputs, 4 HDBaseT3 outputs, 4 mirrored HDMI® outputs and 4 audio breakout zones, the neo:4x extends 4K and 1080p up to 40 metres (130 feet) over a single Cat6A cable. The kit includes 4 neo:Lite3 receivers, powered directly from the matrix over PoH, so there is no need for a power supply behind the TV.

What's different from the neo4?

The neo:4x takes everything installers rely on in the neo 4 and rebuilds it around HDBaseT3.

  • Full 4K 60 4:4:4, uncompressed. The neo:4 tops out at 4K/60 4:2:0 or 4K/30 4:4:4. The neo:4x carries the full 18Gbps HDMI® 2.0 signal with no chroma subsampling and no compression.
  • Nearly double the bandwidth. 18Gbps and a 600MHz pixel clock, up from 10.2Gbps and 340MHz.
  • HDBaseT3 throughout. HDBaseT3 outputs and neo:Lite3 receivers replace the HDBaseT Class B outputs and neo:Lite receivers of the neo:4.
  • A mirrored HDMI® output for every zone. 4 mirrored HDMI® outputs instead of 2, ideal for feeding an AVR or a local display alongside each HDBaseT run.
  • Audio breakout built in. 4 audio breakout zones for connecting to audio distribution and amplifier products. The neo:4 has none.
  • Lower power draw. 70W power consumption, compared with 120W.

CEC - ULTIMATE SOURCE CONTROL

Imagine being able to control all of your devices (Sky, Blu-ray player, Apple TV etc.) from your original TV remote control. CEC control does just that. Gone are the days of five remote controls in one room, and there is no need to buy additional hardware such as universal remotes. Most TVs now support CEC and, using our very own libCEC, we’ve baked that technology into the system. Just press the “Source” key on your normal TV remote, choose from the list of input devices, and the matrix will route the video automatically, even if the source does not support CEC itself.

CONTEXTUAL IR

4 in, 4 out: that’s 16 possible combinations of your video. Historically, matrixes have offered remotes with 8 or 16 buttons, requiring multiple presses to get video to the TV you’re watching. We thought this was an odd solution. Given that you already know which room you are in, so should the matrix! Contextual IR reduces the number of buttons to just 4, one for each input. Whatever room you’re in, select 1, 2, 3 or 4 and watch that source instantly.

RESPONSIVE WEB INTERFACE

We think it’s important that you can access the matrix from any device, be it mobile, tablet or desktop PC, and in any browser. Our responsive design works with you and not the other way round. The web interface is built directly on top of our REST API, which means that whatever you can do on your phone, your control system can do too, and vice versa. Drivers are available for Control4, Crestron, Elan, RTI and Savant.

REMOTE MONITORING

It’s important that you get video all the time. To help us do that, your system keeps in contact with our cloud management service. If you get stuck, you or your installer can log into our cloud portal to see helpful diagnostic information, fix problems remotely or find out where the installation may have gone wrong. All of this is free of charge.
